A note from the founder

A beginning, freely given.

I first came across Luigi’s photographs on Instagram. I was drawn to his style, his color palette, and the way he captured quiet moments in Siena. His photographs felt close to the place that had inspired Contrada.

I reached out to ask whether I could see his portfolio and license some of his photographs. Luigi responded with extraordinary kindness: he chose to share them freely for use by Contrada.

These images became our first collection and part of Contrada’s visual foundation. You will find them throughout the website. Here, they are gathered together, with gratitude to the person whose eye—and generosity—helped give Contrada its first form.
